Getting to the area couldn’t be easier.

Driving east from Toronto there a numerous exits about 60 minutes from the Yonge Street and 401 interchange. For example driving from Bayview and 401 to Port Hope should take approximately one hour outside of rush hour.

For Port Hope take exit 461 (Toronto Road) south off 401. Follow Toronto Road south to Ridout Sreet and turn left which will lead you directly to the downtown area.

For Cobourg take exit 472 (Burnham Sreet) or exit 474 (Division Street) both of which will lead you directly to the downtown area and the waterfront.

Unfortunately the GO Train only goes as far as Oshawa so you have to take VIA Rail to get to the area. If you consult the schedule you’ll find that there are more trains to Cobourg than Port Hope so it’s probably better to use the Cobourg destination. Your journey will take aproximately one hour from Union Station to Cobourg Station.

Taxis are readily available at the Cobourg station and will take you anywhere – Port Hope or Cobourg – very reasonably.
