Getting to the area couldn’t be easier.

Driving east from Toronto there a numerous exits about 60 minutes from the Yonge St & 401 interchange.

For Port Hope take exit 461 (Toronto Rd) south off 401. Follow Toronto Rd south to Ridout St and turn left which will lead you directly to the downtown area.

For Cobourg take exit 472 (Burnham St) or exit 474 (Division St) both of which will lead you directly to the downtown area and the waterfront.

Special Note: The highway folks are doing some construction to widen the highway around the Cobourg exits – just be patient it isn’t too bad

Unfortunately the GO Train only goes as far as Oshawa so you have to take VIA Rail to get to the area. If you consult the schedule you’ll find that there are more trains to Cobourg than Port Hope so it’s probably better to use the Cobourg destination. Taxis are readily available at the Cobourg station and will take you anywhere very reasonably.
